Three newly built (2006) traditional houses fully equipped in the seaside village of Politika, Evia Island.
The houses are situated and are decorated in simple traditional style with a lot of wooden decorations and construction.
Each house is 70 square meters in area and some of the bedrooms are loft style and accessible by wooden stairs.
Each house has a living room with a fireplace and TV, a dining table and a fully – equipped kitchen, 2 bedrooms, and a bathroom. All houses are air-conditioned and have a radiator heating system with temperature control.
Each one can accommodate 4 people.
The garden is an a very serene and peacefull environment full of banana, orange and walnut trees. I like nature and ecology and I never use pesticides and other dangerous substances for exterminating insects in the garden. The cleaning of the house and of the garden is done only with ecological products which is not harmful for human health. The distance between the houses is 6 meters way.
The whole garden of the houses is about 1000 square meters.
The village of Politika and the houses, are 2 hours distance by car from the airport of Athens and 2 and ahalfhours distance if you choose to come by public transportation.

The beach is 1.300 meters away and is perfect for swimming and various sea activities. Cycling, walking and running. The village of Politika is a typical Greek village witth stone houses, a small castle tower, and a monastery.
The village is located in the foot of a green mountain which offers people a chance of non-organized climbing, walking or cycling. In the center square of the village you can visit a small medieval tower, do your grossery, shopping or have food and beverage in café shop or tavernas below the shadow of the huge plane trees.
Politika is situated 25 km from Halkida which is a town with big General Hospital. Eretria is an ancient historical town at about 40 minutes away. Towards the north part of Evia island is the unique hot springs of Aidipsos (75 minutes away). The distance from Athens is one hundred kilometers or 1 1/2 hour away maximum. The island of Skyros is another close destination. The condition of the roads is very good in general. There is a bus from Athens to Halkida and vice versa every half an hour. There is a bus network from the town of Halkida to every village of Evia island quit often. The bus from the village to Halkida is available four to five times a day depending on the season. The taverns of the village offer daily fresh fish from the local fishing boats. In the village square, you will taste ouzo, on the traditional cafés in the shade of an old tree. You may also visit the monastery of Panagia Perivleptou (13th century orthodox monastery), the church of St. Panteleimon, where the pine forest is overlooking the gorge area and the river sources which supply the village with fresh water . In the adjacent hill stands the church of Prophet Elias, where the view of the Politics and the northern Gulf of Evia is really impressive.
Getting Around
The public transportation is very good and you need only 2 and a half hours from the airport to arrive at my house by using it
