Pianello del Lario is a touristic town in the northern part of Lake Como. Very lively during the summer months, with numerous restaurants serving local food, the town has become particularly famous because of its various “Crotti”, local eateries with bygone origins. The Swiss border and the city of Lugano are a mere 30 minutes away by car, the famous ski resort of St. Moritz is only 80 km away and the connection with the other towns on Lake Como is extremely good thanks to the public ferryboat service.
