The house combines wonderful antique feeling with modern flair to give an irresistible charm. It is a quarrystone house, the walls are appropriately thick and taper off towards the top. On the ground floor there is a living-dining area with large open fireplace and a fireside bench tempting all to take a few minutes break, a new built-in kitchen with high-quality appliances and a beautiful new bathroom with two windows. All rooms here have a ceiling made from original juniper wood beams and planks. There are still old floor tiles in a warm red colour In the living area, the kitchen and bathroom have been newly tiled. A part of the quarrystone wall has been exposed in the living area.
On the upper level there are 2 bedrooms with sea-view and a small terrace with a view of the castle ruin, sea and bordering mountains. The ceilings maintain the typical Sardinian style here, with reed matting between juniper wood beams. The old floor tiling could be saved in both rooms. Similarly, it was decided not to realign any of the walls, everything was newly plastered but the original flowing lines of the walls survived. Plumbing and electrical installations are brand new, all doors and windows throughout the house were replaced; some were even made to measure. For aesthetic reasons real wood window frames and doors were selected. The roof leaked, so was given new insulation and coating. All windows have a built-in insect screen, which can be pulled up and down like blinds. There is satellite TV with German stations, a landline telephone connection for good Internet access, the fireplace has a ventilator to guarantee a soot-free atmosphere even in problematic weather conditions. As the water supply is sometimes limited, a 500 l tank has been installed. “Ange” lies in the middle of the historical part of Posada. Residents can drive their car up to the house, but no through-traffic is permitted.
The next parking spaces are located about 70m from the house. Slightly further away is a local corner shop, which is open throughout the year. In the town there are supermarkets, petrol stations, doctors’ practices, restaurants etc.
